August 2017
Words:
Her speech became clearer, and she's gotten better at mimicking our words.
"Yellow" is a favorite thing to say. Not sure if she loves the color, or just knows that one the best.
"Fuffy". I have no idea what this means. It's pretty much anything she wants that she can't reach. Pointing and saying "fuffy" as if to say "gimme that".
"Mo Pees" is anything she wants more of. Can be food, or even tickling her.
Later August words:
"Papou" (poopoo) sometimes used in context, sometimes not
"Yes" clearly spoken
Bird - weirdest interpretation of a word "Beeyaiya". Very excitedly pointing at birds and screaming "Beeyaiya, beyaiya!"
"Mummy" and "Daddy" clearly pronounced all of a sudden one day, when she got very sick with a stomach virus for almost 7 days. After throwing up, crying, not knowing what's going on in the middle of the night we both were called "Mummy" and "Daddy" for the first time.
What she's doing:
Pushes and pulls us "up" to go somewhere and "do" something.
Climbs everything fearlessly. Curious, determined, despite redirection, physically removing her or saying "no". (climbing, pulling the dog's tail, cabinets, etc)
Gallops like a horse.
Likes:
Loves dancing and sings Twinkle Little Star. Likes "Head, shoulders, knees and toes".
Still loves food. Maybe slightly pickier some days, but likes a variety. Drinks lots of water and milk.
Becoming happier overall, than before.
Sleep:
Naps easily around 12:30-2pm ish. Sometimes longer. Wakes at 5:30am and may stay in the crib resting until 6:15. Bedtime is 7:30pm. She sometimes wakes at night 1-2 times, sometimes needing us for a couple minutes.
Teeth:
Canines still coming... not quite.

Nia's first clearly spoken sentence, when she sees the rice on the stove for her dinner:
"Eat the Rice"
