After 5-6 weeks of terrible sleep, it finally happened! Nia slept through the night, like all the way through! I put her down at 6:30, she woke at 7 and cried and fussed until almost 9. I tried the swaddle, the sleepsack, the zipadee-zip - nothing worked. I thought we were doomed for a bad night. She wouldn't eat, either. She just had a lot of tooth related pain, I think. She finally got calm at 8:50, and was sleeping on her own by 9:05. She woke and cried briefly after the first couple sleep cycles, but settled on her own. She woke at 5am for feeding, was alert, and went back to sleep after, until 7:30am. Oh, I deserved that night!
Nia has been fussy, constipated, and in teething pain for weeks. We've tried prunes - which she is apparently allergic too, breaking out in hives and eczema. We tried brown sugar or jaggery, exercises and rubbing. I finally resorted to using a suppository and, although it was supposed to take only minutes, 3 hours later she had sweet relief. Lots of sweet relief!
Development - wise, Nia is starting to make talking noises, and becoming more vocal.
